Wearable Art - Amulet Bags

In case all this is new to you, an "amulet bag" is part of the traditions of many cultures. From Native Americans to
indigenous African people, great meaning has been attached to amulets, or charms, or just items of great
personal significance. What better way to keep these good luck pieces close at hand than on a decorative holder
around your neck! I'm also a strong believer in the power of written thoughts, so I carry tiny folded pieces of paper
with positive affirmations to keep my day on the right track. Let me create a bag for your treasures!

This amulet bag is made from several shades
of blue, with some amber and gold accents,
in a variety of sizes and shapes.
It's a wonderfully odd little bag that gives
plenty of room to carry your precious stones
or folded affirmations close to your heart.

$25

Here's another bag made of a hodge-podge
of earthtone colored beads, with gold accents.
There are some semi-precious stone
beads in this one to give it more life
and meaning to the wearer.

$25

This amulet bag has an African theme to it.
The body of the bag is made with yellow beads,
striped with red and green. A limpet shell serves
as the clasp to close the top and my own clay
beads decorate the fringe and neckchain.

$35

This little cache necklace started out as
a wooden needlecase that has been covered
with woven seed beads, then embellished.
The bronze-painted cap can be removed
for you to insert a scroll containing your hopes
and dreams, or any other tiny remembrance.
